Hi, I'm Michelle.
My Story
I'm the founder of a nationally recognised psychology practice, Brave Heart Wellbeing, twice-nominated for a Telstra Business Award, and the creator of The Interconnected Life Framework, an approach to mental wellness built on one simple idea: nothing in your life sits in isolation.
As a psychologist, I sit with people every day who tell me they’re lost, overwhelmed, overloaded, exhausted and done. My first response is almost always the same: you are not alone. And you are not the problem.
Most of us are trying to improve one part of ourselves while everything else in our life is still interacting with it. My work is about changing that. It’s about moving from fragmented, crisis-driven approaches to a holistic understanding of how mind, body, relationships and environment all connect.
Why I’m Different
My path here hasn't been a straight line, and I wouldn't have it any other way. What I bring to the stage and the page:
What I care about most is early intervention and prevention. I've seen what happens when people finally connect the dots in their lives. They stop asking "what's wrong with me?" and start asking "what actually needs my energy?" That shift changes everything.

Whose expectation are you actually trying to meet?
And when did it become yours?
What I Stand For
We can’t know everything, so I stay curious. It’s how we keep growing, reduce self-criticism and become unstuck.
Validating what someone needs and showing up for them, right when it matters.
Reducing judgement, and understanding what we can and can’t control.
Everyone has the right to choose, to use their voice, and to be heard.
Listening without judgement and making space for every point of view.
The question that
DRIVES ME
“How can I help others connect all the dots in their lives, so they can live more integrated, balanced and fulfilling lives?”
A Question
What are you tolerating simply because you’ve
become good at tolerating it?
Everything I do sits underneath that question. The dots are often the ordinary things: how we're sleeping, who we're talking to, what we're carrying and haven't told anyone about. Most of us only join them up once something has gone wrong. My work is about doing it earlier, helping people notice what's shifting, build the resilience to handle it, and have the honest conversations that make the whole thing less isolating. I want us to treat mental health the way we already treat physical health, as something that is sometimes well and sometimes unwell, with no shame in either.
Brave Heart Wellbeing
Alongside my speaking and writing, I'm the founder of Brave Heart Wellbeing, my psychology practice, where a wonderful team of therapists supports clients every day. If you're looking for one-on-one therapy, that's where to find us.

I'm always happy to talk about interconnected wellbeing, the invisible load women carry, early intervention in mental health, and why self-care advice so often misses the mark.
